The Character of Signal
1. Length
We will see the length of the natural light (Black Arrow) and the light from the Delay Light Machine (Green Arrow) are different. (Pic 1)
2. The sender
The sender will send the signal as in Pic 2,
3. The Observers
But because the light from the Delay Light Machine is very close to us and finally, cause us to see in a horizontal or vertical line similar a comet's movement.
Explanation in Pic 3
If the flashlight is the Delay Light Machine and moving (Black Arrow), the light or the image that we see will be a signal (Green Arrow).
When the Delay Light Machine has passed....It will be left only the light (Green Arrow in Pic 4)
